Halloween Fun!

What a crazy looking bunch! Bryce was totally in to being something scary this year...almost had to say no...but he is kind of outgrowing the little costumes! Kenadee wanted to be this cute candy corn witch. She looked adorable, perfect for her. And baby girl choose this cute little cat costume. Bill is like a big kid and insisted on wearing the scary thing and scared many children during the night. There were a few puddles left on my doorstep this night. All good clean fun...we went with a bunch of the neighbors and grandma and pa came with us too and walked around all the new developments. It was a lot fun....figured out that I need 5x the candy I bought to hand out. So many darn kids in our neighborhood...which is actually a good thing! So it was a fun night...all the kiddos were happy (including Bill).

Pumkin Carving Nazi!!!

Okay, I admit, I am an absolute freak about carving pumpkins! If it was up to me we would just leave them on the porch they way they are. I try every year to enjoy it but I really can't stand the mess! That is what it is.....a HUGE mess! I mean there was seeds and that yucky orange stringy stuff all over! Yuck! So...I have Bill be in charge of the carving...or there wouldn't be any! He is so relaxed and lets the kids just have at it! I hat the disorganization. I feel like Kate from that darn show John and Kate plus 8...it really is my weakness...but I always survive and the kids do have a good time. I really do like Halloween...just not the mess that it comes with! And the one good thing was that the pot they filled up was from all 3 pumpkins...so there was very little seed mess this year. Wish they had seedless pumpkins!

Happy Halloween Morning!

Our Halloween day this year started with soccer! Ken had a game in the morning so we all tromped down to the field. Talk about a 3 year old not understanding we had to wait for trick-r-treating! She thought we were getting candy there, she wanted to wear her costume all day, and asked at least 100 times if it was time to trick-r-treat all before noon! Whew! Poor thing didn't quite get that we had to wait all day until it was dark to have any fun! But as you can see.....she had plenty of fun with daddy's scary mask. That thing even spooks me out a little! And yes...we won the soccer game!

JUSTIN BIEBER Concert!

We had such a great time! I didn't think I would enjoy it and figured I would be asleep half way through the concert. Kenadee and I danced and sang and waved our glow sticks! I really enjoyed going with her. Our seats were good too...we were on the second level but it was close enough for us to be able to see. Thousands of screaming girls and I was one of them. I don't even like his music, but he put on a really good show! Very entertaining and clean....loved that I did not have to worry about the language and if something was going to be inappropriate. We had a blast....can't wait to go to another one!

Avery the Ham!

So we were in Michael's getting supplies and I hear Avery yell to me, "mommy take my picture with the wish!" So funny, she is sitting on the display posing for a picture. What a HAM! Of course when I want her to take a picture I get some goofy face. Anyways...just a day in the life!

Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Everywhere!

Wow....is all I can say! I know I should get Mother of the Year Award for this one, but...I have never taken my kiddos to the Cal Poly Pumpkin patch. I do not know why...usually the kids all have games on Saturday and then Sunday we are busy getting ready for the week. But I told the kids we would go for sure this year! They had no idea what it really entailed. When we pulled up there mouths dropped. Mine did too I must admit....rows and rows of pumpkins. Big ones, small ones, oval ones, very weird looking ones! There is a pumpkin there for everyone. My kids really do have a heart for the...unusual. Every one they brought up was damaged or lopsided or all scratched up. I finally had to tell myself that if they were happy with it then it didn't matter if there was no stem or if it tilted to the left or if it did not stand up at all! My kids LOVE the ones that are full of flaws! It made me think  what an awesome quality that actually is. The fact that they are different is a sign that they are unique. Just like my munchkins...what a blessing to learn a lesson from my kids. Goes without saying.....I have a lot to learn! Great family trip and one I promised them we would never miss again. So sad it took us this long to finally get there!

LOVE Disney in the Fall!

I LOVE Disneyland during the holidays! Walking around and seeing all the decorations really gets me in the holiday mood. This is one of our last times going because our passes expire next month! As much as I will miss it...I look forward to getting them again...the kids really do enjoy it and I could go there every week! So for this year, it has come to an end...but I promise to be back with 5 instead of 4 passes to buy!

My Hair is Too Messy!

So My little darling decided today that her hair was too messy! She is turning 4 in a few weeks and we have not even had her hair trimmed yet...until today. I noticed as we were playing outside that it looked like she had bangs. So I called her over and brushed her hair forward and realized she did have bangs! What the heck!!! I asked her if she cut her hair and she replied, "Mom my hairs is too messy today, so I cut it!" Is she kidding me??? And she knew I would ask where all the hair was so she proceeded to tell me that she put it all in the trash. Except for all the mess she left on the counter in her bathroom! I mean seriously? It does not look like a lot, but it really is. She is right the rest is in the trash and all over the floor. But I must admit....she does look cute with bangs!

Daisy the Fish

Okay, so I broke down and bought another fish after our tragedy last week with the goldfish Bryce won at the fair. We were at the pet store getting a hermit crab to replace the one that croaked in Bryce's class, and my baby fell in love with this interesting looking thing. I mean...for $5 I couldn't say no. She immediately brought it in and fixed the cage. You can guess what she named it...Daisy! We don't see them anymore so she is always talking about her and thought It was a perfect name for the fish. Then she sat up on the counter watching it for 20 min. and then she fed it half the bottle of fish food. So needless to say, this thing won't last long in the Zernickow household! But to see her little face light up when we bought it and how happy and proud of herself she was...priceless!!!
