My Little Van Gogh's!

My kids LOVE crafts! During the summer I try and have them do something that will keep them away from the TV. This was a great project....they loved painting these wood pieces and they were very inexpensive at Micheal's. Avery sat for over an hour painting this huge birdhouse she chose! She is so proud of it!  Kenadeee is working on a jewelry box, and Bryce painted a dragon and an alligator that they have been playing with everyday! A great summer activity.

Week 8...

Each week is starting to look the same from the outside....but there are differences. The drywall has all been painted over so it is not just boards. No more chicken wire on the front of the house. The bonus room now looks bigger than it did before. And the last one is the view from the backyard on the hill we have. The pictures don't do it justice...but it is coming along quite nicely!

Thank Goodness for the Snowy Cart....

Bill and Avery are HUGE fans of the snowy cart at all the soccer games! This is the reason she is so excited to attend every game! She looks forward to each and every game to be able to get one of these messy things! I will say, It does keep her occupied and it is a very easy bribe!

After a Long Day of Soccer....

This is how we usually look after a LONG day of soccer and her running around with all the kids! Asleep with the headphones on...can't miss out on that movie! Blurry I know.....that would be Bill!

Kenadee's last tournament in San Juan

This was Kenadee's last soccer tournament with this Spring select team. She had a lot of fun and even though Bill and I were ready for it to be done, she was really sad. Never imagined she would love playing so much! These girls had good times together and one the majority of their tournaments. Winning always makes it a little more fun! Anyways, Kenadee learned a lot and made a many good friends....so did we! So we will miss this group...

Dana Point Marina

Saturday we had some time in between Kenadee's games, so we decided to drive a few miles to the marina in Dana Point. The weather was beautiful and we found a little restaurant on the water that happened to have the
USA soccer game on! What a treat! Kenadee has been so into watching as many games as she could take in, so all of us have been watching together. Fun day even though USA lost!

12 Year Anniversary

So this year our anniversary happened to fall on Father's Day. So Bill and I were able to go out to dinner the night before and sort of celebrate. This picture is hard to see, but Bill got me this globe that plays music and he had it engraved, which you really can't see! But anyways, it was a great gift. The picture is not us...we will replace it with one from Hawaii! Love it when he surprise me with something special!

Week 7...

Week 7 has all the drywall up in the house and the front trim painted! I know.....the green is so yucky! We were not able to choose the color scheme of the outside painting. I personally do not like green, but Bill thinks it looks good. All the showers and tubs are in, and the rooms are complete with closets and full windows. It is definitely coming along. Hard to believe it will not be done until August!

Father's Day

We had a very nice Father's Day this year! Bill wanted to go to Joey's BBQ, which is a yummy BBQ restaurant in Upland. Rip, Lorrie, and Kevin came out and my parents and all the kids headed out to eat.

This is the only picture we have of both boys and their dad. And the bottom picture shows 3 generations of Zernickows'

YES we did!!!

We decided to get up this morning and walk the 5 mile Claremont trail. I had never done it before, so I had no idea what I was in for. We took all the kids and thank goodness mom came...cuz she walked with Avery most of the way. This is a serious trail...no joke. Most of it is uphill and if you are like me and out of shape.
Whoa!

Pretty Pink Princess Prom!

I just LOVE that our church does this each year. This year was Avery's first prom...she was so excited all day to get that dress and tiara on! She asked me ALL day if it was time to go to the ball. Bill wore a pink shirt with a magenta tie to match the girls and he looked great! My Kenadee is growing up way to fast and that scares me, but what a beautiful girl she has turned out to be. Seeing all of them dressed up brought me to tears...soon daddy will be going with just Avery. So I cherish these special occasions when my Kenadee still seems like a child and not a pre-teen!

Party time!

So today was Kenadee's last day at Condit Elem. Since we will be moving to Rancho we decided to put her in that district so she could make friends before Jr. High. She has protested all the way....so we ended the year with a little swim party. The kids had a great time and Kenadee was able to spend time with a few friends before having to say good-bye!

That makes it all better....

Well we have not started off the summer to well. Bryce was in the Dr. last week with a bee sting, Kenadee in this week for torn ligaments in her ankle and needs physical therapy for 6 weeks, and Avery is battling yet another bout of staff infection. Yes, I know it sounds gross, but she gets it a few times during the summer after she has had a cold. So this is our 3rd trip to the Dr. this week. She HATES going remembering that last summer they had to lance the infection...not fun! We caught this one in time and she was only given antibiotics...thank goodness. We are close with our Dr. so she gave this giraffe mask to Avery and it seemed to make all the ouchie go away. Who would have known.....

Getting older.....

Today was the girls last day of pre-school! Daisy is going to kindergarten and Avery will be going full time to a pre-school near my school!. Even though Avery is not moving on I feel sad. She loved going a few days a week with Daisy and she enjoyed all the kids in their class. Sounds silly but I would love for her to stay at this age in this moment forever.....she is a fun loving, beautiful little girl...no longer my baby!

                                               That's my girl!
Avery and Pa enjoy watching soccer together!
This is how the boys watch soccer!

S. Ontario soccer tourny

Soccer tournaments have become our life! We love it and wouldn't have it any other way. Avery has little friends who are sisters of girls on the team, and she just has a blast all day. Bryce goes back and forth between the snack bar and watching the games. I swear that kid has his own tab at each tournament! He costs us a fortune in food! Great team and a great experience for Kenadee. Met a lot of friends and learned a lot about soccer and what it takes to be good!

Week 6...

Well week 6 is looking more like a house. It is ready to be drywalled so hopefully this week it will be done with that part. We were supposed to have an inspection on Friday, but it was canceled. Bill has already noticed a few things that he wanted changed in the house, so we are hoping to meet up with them this week!

HE DID IT!

Wow! I can't believe my cousin graduated! I used to change his diapers and dress him stylishly! How time goes by so fast....the thought of my kids graduating seems so far away. But after attending Bryan's graduation from Bonita, I am afraid it will come quickly!

"I Love Lemalade!"

I had to post this because I wanted to remember how she said this. Recently, Avery has discovered pink lemonade. She asks for it whenever we go somewhere. It's funny because I can't stand it and the other kids don't like it either. But she has acquired a taste for it. So here is my Avery Hope with her "pink lemalade"
